A 60 million year old fossil site containing crocodile, champsosur (crocodile-like animal), turtle, and fish fossils has recently been discovered in the badlands near Medora. The North Dakota Geological Survey and Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation will co-sponsor a scientific, professionally conducted, fossil excavation at the site June 16-21, 2008. Public participation is invited.
Open to anyone 12 years or older. Participants age 12-18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
June 16-21, 2008.
June 21 will be family day for children of any age accompanied by an adult. Cost is $30 per person for morning or afternoon dig.
Package is $145 per day per person and includes:
- Dig

- Transportation between Medora and dig site
