Where rugged badlands and world-class golf collide
Bully Pulpit fall golf rates kick-in on Sept. 7th
Some courses impose themselves on the landscape. The Bully Pulpit Golf Course, surrounded by the dramatic North Dakota Badlands, conforms to the surrounding terrain. Some holes play in meadows and woodlands, while others follow the meandering Little Missouri River. Holes fourteen through seventeen are built into the rugged badlands. The restless canyon winds will test and tease your ball as it drops over 100 feet from tee to fairway on Hole 16.
Dr. Michael Hurdzan, golf architect for Bully Pulpit, stated, "Although I have seen thousands of potential golf course sites, this one near Medora, North Dakota, may be the best I have seen without ocean views." The design and maintenance strategy of Bully Pulpit was to preserve the environment and enhance wildlife habitat. Golfers will appreciate the attention given to the environment during construction and the variety in topography, vegetation, wildlife, vistas, history, and natural assets.
Located three miles south of Medora on East River Road, this 18-hole course features five tees, ranging in length from a comfortable 4,750 total yards from the forward tees to a challenging 7,166 at the tips. Plus, you can warm up your swing on the driving range. Tee time reservations available starting mid-March. Open early April through mid-October.
